I notice that Turbotax creates each time 2 tax files, one with ~ sign in front of the file name. I wonder what is it and which one is the real one?

the tilde file is a backup...just in case your computer experiences an unexpected shutdown/power-outage...whatever disaster....

Use the other one without the " ~ "
