The IRS can't verify the income on my one W2, because they say my old job hasn't sent them a copy of the W2 yet

I called the IRS and was told I didn't do anything wrong, it's just that my previous employer hasn't sent the W2 info to the IRS. I reached out to my employer and they said that it goes to SSA then to

they're right W-2's are submitted to Social Security and Social Security forwards the info to the IRS. maybe your employer sent them by mail and they got lost.   contact the IRS again and see if you can submit form 4852.
