Did my taxes through TurboTax have to fill out a 8962 which should have been filled out with my taxes I need help?

The Form 8962 would have been generated by the software if you had entered the Form 1095-A in the Health Insurance section of the program.

If you received an IRS Letter 012C for tax year 2017 - 

Sign in to TurboTax with the same login you used when you filed your 2017 return.

Scroll down and Click on Amend (change) return

Click on the button Amend using TurboTax online

On the We'll help you change (amend) your return screen, select the Federal tab on the left side of the screen. (Don’t select Continue. You don’t want to start the amend process.)

Select the Health Insurance tab.

Answer the questions about your health insurance which includes entering your 1095-A.

On the Do you need to change anything else screen select Done.

Select Tax Tools on the left side of the screen and choose Print Center.

Choose Print, save, or preview this year’s return.

Select View or print.

Select Form 8962 and either Form 1040 or 1040A and print them.

Send the following to the IRS address or FAX number given in your IRS letter:

• Form 8962, Premium Tax Credit
• Copy of your Form 1095-A, Health Insurance Marketplace Statement
• A copy of the IRS letter that you received.
