The drop down box for school district doesn't display any options and it won't let me manually enter a school district some i am stuck on the school district screen

Have you tried clearing your cache and deleting cookies?  Try this as well and hopefully that will allow you to move past the issue.

Was anybody able to fix this? I tried signing out and then in again, clearing cache and cookies and still nothing.

Go back into your state input section.

Click Edit under the section for the school district taxes.  Instead of typing your code in, try selecting the word school district in blue as shown in the sample below.  This may clear up the issue and allow you to proceed with your return.

I FIGURED IT OUT!! Okay so I don't know where we initially went wrong, but if you're at the end of filing your tax return, you should be able to go back to the State section and edit it. So under federal, you will see state. Click State, click continue, edit {your state} status, and then choose the first "General Information" category that you see. There it will eventually ask you to pick your county again which should already be good but it will give you an opportunity to FINALLY enter that school district from there. Praise the message haha, no upgrade needed!

State of Kansas.  Drop down list shows (North Lyon Co. 251)  (Southern Lyon Co. 252), but NOT  LYON Co. 253.

Have been using Turbo Tax for years.  This is the first for missing Lyon Co school district 253.

School District 253 is listed as Emporia.  Kansas may have had a school district shake up?  Or renamed Lyon County as Emporia?  There is also a Lyons School District which is number 405.  But weirdly there is a Lyon county school district in Nevada so maybe they renamed the Kansas school district to avoid confusion?  At any rate I think you're in the Emporia school district now.

Yeah I’m doing it for New York and it hasn’t been working , been on it for the past 4 days , I’ve reset my whole taxes and redone them and all , still getting stuck on that page

^ Website to look it up so you can enter the code in the box provided right after the question. That page you're looking at can't be edited and not the best place to fix it. You should follow these steps:

Log into account --> Go to State Returns --> Edit (New York) --> continue to general information;
General Information Residency, county, school district, Residency and state general information Learn More (click) --> Update  (answer all questions) click until you get to Tell us your New York County (answer) then continue to next screen Tell us your New York School District and continue (end of error)
