Delete it and retype it. Make sure you are putting commas and decimal points in the correct spot or you can simply round it out and enter 29223 leaving out all punctuation.
How come it shows correctly when you ask the question?
commas should not be needed - automatic. why not just enter 29223 - you may be entering a number in a box that only accepts whole $$$'s an so the decimal point is ignored
Usually that happens if:
1) you accidentally hit a comma before the 42 cents, instead of a period. (those two keys are adjacent on the main keyboard
or
2) You are located overseas from the USA and you have your computer set to the regional setting for some European country.....then if you do hit the decimal before the 42 cents...the computer the treats the period as a comma and #1 happens again. The solution in this case is to set yoru computer's regional setting back to the USA...(some European countries use commas for the decimal point...and periods for what USA folks would use as commas))
