There is a bug with a hidden/Ghost...<Untitled > 1099-INT form....but as far as I know, only for those using the Online software..
The way you get around it and get rid of it is to delete the entire Schedule B...that deletes even the hidden/ghost form, along with any 1099-INT, -DIV and -OID form you actually intended to enter.
Once the Sched B is gone, then you can re-enter your 1099-INT, -DIV (and -OID forms if any) to re-initiate the proper ones.

I just did all of those steps and they didn't work!!!!!
NOT SOLVED!!!!!!!!!!!
What's even worse is that after you follow the steps, the next page says, "get ready to be impressed!" ???????????
Try Customer Support......but they may be overloaded today....of course, that's only if you are using a version higher than "Free"

Well here we are in March of 2021 and the same problem is still occuring. I spoke a customer service rep today who forwarded me this link. She blamed the the fact that I downloaded the data. I started the whole **bleep** return over again, manually inputting the dividend income and get a number that again is 33% too high. So much for their customer service help. I wonder how many people have been screwed over by this bug.
I have the same, or a similar, problem: 1099-DIV data is correct for the individual 1099s, but the total on TurboTax's 1099-DIV summary page is wrong. !!!#$@&!
A lot depends on what $$ you expect to show up on the Summary/Menu page.
A 1099-DIV has a whole bunch of boxes for various things, but the single value on the Summary/Menu page (the main menu page for Wages&Income) that will only show the total of all box 1a +box 11 values. A lot of the other boxes & their values go elsewhere.
UPDATE: @SteamTrain seems to have solved my problem (by explaining what the heck TurboTax is adding up to create what only LOOKS like an incorrect total), but I will leave this earlier comment about my customer-service call up anyway. I'm not sure what the ongoing issue or glitch is, or whether there really even is one, other than the software's not doing a good job of explaining how it's reaching this "total."
I talked to the TurboTax help desk, which bumped my question up to the TurboTax "resolution desk," and the representative there said "there is an ongoing issue" with these forms not totaling correctly; "it's a glitch" and "they are working on it," but no date was given for when it is expected to be corrected. She told me to try working on my return again at the end of the week and see if it had been corrected by then.
@SteamTrain OMG, you are correct! I tried to get both the help desk and the resolution desk to explain to me what calculations are used to create the "Total Dividends" value, and neither would do that -- so thanks so much for your information on this point. I added up the 1a and 11 boxes from my two forms and they add up to exactly the amount shown on my summary page. I don't know why on earth they add up DIFFERENT 1099-DIV boxes on the "Here's Your 1099-DIV Info" page; this makes it look as though there's an error on the summary page, but I guess maybe there actually isn't.
Very helpful! Now, if TurboTax could just express this more clearly in their software, so that people don't waste time fearing there's an error.
