Can I file my  2020 tax return now

Yes.  You can file but not e-file your 2020 tax return.

 You can still file your taxes by downloading TurboTax software and printing and mailing in your tax return. 

For most tax returns, the answer is no. Our e-filing "window" for non-corporate and non-partnership returns goes from January to mid-October of the calendar year that immediately follows the tax year.

For example, tax year 2020 returns can be e-filed from January 2021 through October 2021.

After e-filing shuts down for the current tax year, we're working hard to get things ready for the upcoming tax year.

There in the best turbotax in your people that is the best to get me out of my not the did wrong. I bless all of you folks for what you did to get every worked!!  I sure went to lala land and was a big problem. Thanks to all of you.!    ( Gary in Twin Falls, ID)
