How can I upload my 1099 B into Turbotax?

there is no option to import the file as pdf using "the mac download software" so making the file smaller is pointless

It would be best to follow the instructions here to request a refund for the desktop version, and then purchase the online version.

Once you purchase the online version you may be able to compress the 1099-B to a smaller pdf to import.
