Tax Year Prior to 2020: Am I eligible for stimulus package check from IRS?

I don't think you're eligible. My brother went through the same thing with my niece. He claimed her on his taxes last year and now she's 18 and the money is for under the age of 18 if claimed as a dependant. I don't understand how you filed taxes for the past two years and your mom claimed you as a dependant for 2018 and 2019?  But please don't take my word for it check into it to be sure, I could be wrong. In 2018 I made no $, so was not required to file a return. I just now (on May 3rd), filed my 2019 tax return. Will my stimulus $ still get processed automatically? Or is there something else I must do?

@LFOSTERSANDIEGO   Filing your 2019 return is all you need to do, to get your stimulus money.  The IRS will use the information from your 2019 return for your stimulus check.

If you claim them as dependents on your tax return then they are not eligible for a stimulus payment.

FOR TAX YEARS 2019, MY ROOM MATE FILED THIS YEAR AND LISTED ME AS A DEPENDENT BECAUSE HE SAID I'M APART OF THE HOUSEHOLD AND HE'S FILING HEAD OF HOUSEHOLD.  MY ROOM MATE DID RECEIVE HIS STIMULUS OF 1200, BUT WOULD HE HAVE ALSO RECEIVE A 500 STIMULUS AMOUNT IF I QUALIFIED AS HIS DEPENDENT? IF I DID NOT QUALIFY AS HIS DEPENDENT AM I ELIGIBLE TO RECEIVE ONE FOR MYSELF? I WAS NOT REQUIRED TO FILE A TAX RETURN, DID NOT MAKE ENOUGH TO FILE 2019.
