Tax Expert clueless or refuse to answer

I just had a 45 mins call with "Tax Expert" name Sue. She could not answer any of my questions related to the tax. I asked Sue that TT state is showing me refund of the amount more than I paid to the tax!!! Can you help fix the error? And Sue response was from the text book..."please follow the direction the desktop app".

Sue did not seem to be enthusiastic about her job...answering questions from their Helpdesk which I could do.

No one from the user forum can fix your tax return--if there is even something to fix.  We have no access to your tax return or your information.   You seem to be saying that your state refund is more than the tax you had withheld---it is possible that you are getting some sort of state credit that is increasing your refund. Information flows from your federal return to the state return, so double check the amounts you entered when you entered your W-2's into the federal software--paying special attention to boxes 16 and 17 from your W-2(s).  Maybe something was entered incorrectly.    Or tell us what state you are in.

No one here can see your tax return.

Not even the expert can tell you why the state is sending you more money.  Turbotax experts are (in most cases) not the same as hiring your own tax pro who has power of attorney to call the state for you.  You need to call the state and ask what's going on, or wait and see if they send you a letter of explanation.

Tax Expert clueless or refuse to answer

Dear Opus 17

I am giving my opinion on the tax expert quality of service.

I dont know why you feel obligated to respond to my complain, as you said, you have no idea of my tax situation. And neither I am asking you to solve the problem.
