switch to efile after choosing file by mail

I selected file by mail but when I click add state to switch back to file it is asking me to amend my return. I don't want to amend I just need to switch to file I have not mailed the return accidental selection. Add state is trying to get me to amend but I have not filed the return the steps say I should be able to switch to efile after choosing to add state but it is not showing the same process this year.
