Son entered military in August, do I claim him as a dependent?

If he was under age 19 (or a full-time student under age 24) when he joined, he may qualify as your dependent under the Qualifying Child rules.  

In order to be your qualifying child, he must be unmarried and a US citizen, and meet the following requirements:

- He must be under age 19 or a full-time student under the age of 24.

- He must live with you more than half the year.

- He must not provide more than half his own support.

- He must not be the qualifying child of another taxpayer with higher priority under IRS tiebreaker rules.

was 19 on dec. 31, but was full-time student through June in high school before entering military in August.  All other requirements met....does child qualify as full-time student if graduated 2nd week of June from high school before entering military in august?

Yes, they were a full time student in 2019.
