Solar Energy Credit Carryover

I can't complete my NYS return.  Message saying I have a solar energy credit carryover but I don't. I don't have any related tax forms to delete unless it's populated behind the scenes!  Turbo Tax says because of this It won't e-file but I can print and mail in my return, but I thought NYS only accepts e-filed returns? Please help!

Yes, you can remove your solar energy credit carryover from your NY return.

Here's how to do that:

1. Sign in to your Turbotax account.
2. Select  State Taxes.
3. Select Edit to the right of New York
4. Continue until your get to You Just Finished Your New York Return.
5. Select Update to the right of Credits and other taxes.
6. On the page, Take a look at New York credits and taxes, select Start or Update to the right of Unused Solar Energy Credit Carryover from Prior Years.
7. Delete the figures here and leave the screen blank. 
8. Select Continue, then Review.

To remove the Solar Energy Credit Carryover:

1. Open your NY return and continue to the screen  Take a look at New York credits and taxes
2. Scroll down to nonrefundable Credits and click start or Update
3.  Make sure the boxes are blank. Don't enter 0. 

If that doesn't work, follow the instructions provided by AmyC  to delete the form Other Tax Credits and Taxes Worksheet'

Anyone know how to solve this issue?  The answer offered doesn't do it!  Also, does NYS allow for mail-in returns?  Responses are appreciated. Thanks.
