I am a sole proprietor with no employees. The proprietorship is treated as a partnership for tax purposes. I would like to file for the automatic participation feature tax credit ($1500 over 3 years).
On the partnership return, I filed a form 8881 to claim the credit. The credit is then reported on the individual schedule K-1 box 15 code AF (250 for myself, 250 for wife).
When I use TurboTax home and business, it transferred this to form 3800. However, the program did not file an 8881 for my wife or I. Are these forms needed? Online research suggest I need two form 8881 with the amount from the schedule k-1 report in Part 2 line 10. If that is the case then do I need two form 3800?

No, your personal 1040 tax return would not include Form 8881. The total credit is reported on page 3 of Form 3800.
According to IRS Instructions for Form 8881:
Taxpayers, other than partnerships and S corporations, whose only source of these credits is from a partnership or S corporation, are not required to complete or file this form. Instead, they can report these credits directly on Form 3800.
