Setting a payment plan

I am ready to file my taxes.
I know I need to apply for a payment plan through the IRS. However I cannot find where to go in Turbo Tax that allows me to file without paying my taxes in full.
I am using the Self-Employed filing program.
Is there an option to pay Turbo Tax to file without paying the taxes I owe?

If you have federal tax due you can pay by mailing your payment with the 1040V voucher, (which has the address printed on it, having the payment taken out of a designated bank account, or you can pay directly on the IRS website.

You must pay your state tax due using the state’s preferred method of receiving payment.  For most states that will be by making a payment to the state’s own tax website, or by mailing a check or money order.

Tell the software you will pay your tax due by mailing a check, and then just go ahead with your plan to apply for a payment plan with the IRS and pay accordingly.  TurboTax never knows how, when or even if you pay your tax due.   You will, of course, have to pay your TurboTax fees in order to file your tax return.

Hello KateStan2002,

When you get to the Filing tab, under Step 2, you will see the options for paying your balance due.  One of them is File now and Pay later.  This is the option you use for proposing a payment plan.

Hope this helps!
