I received a notice at the end of filing my return that I need to send a paper form 8949, but my electronic return contains a form 8949 and schedule D. Is this an error?

My 8453 form says I need to send a form 8949, but my electronic return contains an 8949. The 8949 just has stock transactions from Scottrade on it listed in summary - do I need to attach the statement from the brokerage and send it in?

Sending the statement along with the Form 8949 would allow the IRS to see that all information is included and reconciled, eliminating any additional questions.  I would attach it in an attempt to eliminate any further correspondence and to speed up the process of review of your tax return.
