I have Cap gains/losses for sch D, also need C/C-EZ. The product descriptions, feedback unclear - can I complete SchD w/ TT Deluxe, or do I HAVE TO GET Premier??

With turbotax online, you must use Self Employment to get both schedule D and schedule C.  With Turbotax desktop, installed on your own computer from a CD or download, Deluxe has all the forms, but Premier and Home & Business have more detailed interviews and guidance.

more specifically, DLX may have forms, but does it walk thru each transaction as to shares sold, date acquired/sold, sale/purchase cost, sht or long term, IRS category (sht, long term, reptd or not to IRS....) Or can only PREMIERE do that? I am familiar with that method from TaxAct.

yes, Deluxe does, if you use the CD/Download version.
