Since you are using the Desktop/CD version, all you have to do is click on File in the upper left right under the red ball and select New Tax Return. Don;t Save the one you already started.

Go to Forms. Above the lost of Forms on the left, choose Open Form. Enter Schedule A in the box asking for Form name. click on the Schedule A below. Look at the Schedule A to see what the totals look like. Go back through the interview for education expenses. You will be asked to choose the amount you want to allocate to education credits, if you have entered both the 1099-Q and the 1098-T. Enter the $7,000 there.

Since it seems you are using the CD/Download version of the program, you can go to Forms to make this deletion. Click on Forms on the upper right, then select the 1099-Div worksheet on the left . You can delete the duplicate by scrolling to the bottom of the form.

You cannot e-fle if you have entered descriptions and zeroes. Leave everything that no longer applies blank. Just delete any expenses that no longer apply. The one thing you have to do is edit each asset, whether car or home, and enter that it was converted to personal use and the date. Yes, I'm afraid you will have to use Home and Business for this one last year to make these changes.
