report bug 2025 1099-R Box 15 State list missing Alaska

Using 2025 Deluxe (Federal only) Desktop (Windows) version. 1099-R form, Box 15, the State list is missing Alaska.

Alaska does not have a personal income tax.  Leave boxes 14, 15 and 16 blank (empty) on the TurboTax Form 1099-R.

Okay, that makes sense, thank you. Although the 1099-R form I'm entering for has the state & dollar amount printed in boxes 15 & 16, & as you've noted $0.00 in box 14 (state tax), I guess it's irrelevant.

I noticed the same issue for Texas, which also has no personal income tax. However, I looked up the list of states without an income tax and not ALL of them are left out of the Box 15 State pulldown list. Is this maybe due to those that are still in the list still having taxes on retirement income?

In any case, my 1099-R had Box 15 filled in with the state abbreviation and a number, so I was trying to make sure all the forms information was provided. Though it had nothing in Box 14. Then I ran into Texas missing from the pull down, which looks like a software bug. I think it would be less confusing for the TurboTax user if the State pulldown had ALL the states listed so they can select what is on their 1099-R. Then internally TurboTax can deal with some states not taxing this income.
