Hello,
My wife and I both live in Illinois, but worked all year remotely for companies in Missouri. I am trying to complete our (joint filing) Missouri tax form and it’s giving me a message saying that my remote income cannot be greater for Missouri than what was on my federal return. My question is, shouldn’t that be the same amount? All the income we received was all remote and all from Missouri sources?
Thank you

In 2021, if you never lived in or worked in Missouri or had Missouri state income taxes withheld from your wages you do not need to file a Missouri state income tax return.
Ah, ok. So I was at two companies during the year, where one of the companies did withhold MO state tax (other two, all tax went to IL). Would I just then be including the wages made from that job? And that would be my problem?
