Reject code IND-031

I paper file my 2016 tax return. This year I tried to e-file, but it was rejected. AGI for 2016 is right. I have already ordered IRS Transcript to verify.

since I did not e-file last year, does that mean IRS E-file data base does not have my record, so my AGI for last year would be 0.00?

Please review the following TurboTax FAQ on locating your previous year's AGI:

Please see below for troubleshooting your AGI:

To confirm that you are using the AGI the IRS has on file, you can quickly download a free IRS transcript of your return from the IRS website which will include your accurate AGI. Select the blue link above then 'Get transcript online'.

On your transcript, look for ADJUSTED GROSS INCOME (you may need to look on page 2). This is the number in the IRS database; make sure the AGI you enter matches this number exactly.
