I corrected my rejected return. Now I want to know how to ewfile and pay the IRS without them trying to take the money out twice.

You don't refile, you amend. For information on how to amend your 2020 return, go to How do I amend my 2020 return?
Thanks David. But the language on your own website says to go into Turbotax, fix the problem and refile. This return was rejected by the Federal government for a specific and easily fixable reason, albeit one that will cost me some money.
If you received an e-file rejection, don’t worry. You have until May 22 to e-file or mail in your rejected federal return. An e-file rejection means that some things on your return don't match the IRS database, such as a date of birth or social security number. You’re given the opportunity to fix them and refile.
Many returns are rejected because there was an issue with last year's AGI. Try entering "0" for your 2019 AGI and see if that fixes the problem.
If that doesn't work, follow these instructions:
You can pay when you file or pay directly at the IRS. The payment on the rejected return will not go through - only the payment on the return that gets accepted will go through.
Note the instructions given by following your answer:
First, make sure you really need to amend and that your 2020 return was accepted in TurboTax Online or paper-filed through the mail. You can't amend a return that hasn't been filed yet.
The point is that the return was rejected by the Federal government. It was not accepted.
You do not amend. If your return was rejected, follow here Fix a reject.
