I feel like this form was sent in error. it says non employee compensation is 1000, however I NEVER received any funds in 2023 for that amount. how do i dispute this o

Who sent you the 1099NEC? Have you contacted them to ask why they sent it?

I received the same form in the same amount from the same company and didn't know why. I did a little digging and I think it is a payment for Covid Relief that I received in February. I thought you didn't have to pay taxes on these Covid Relief payments??

@wolverine1209 We do not know why you were sent a 1099NEC --- or what it might have had to do with covid. You are going to have to do a little more homework and find out from the issuer of the 1099NEC what exactly it was for.
