Thanks .. but after reading about S mode I think i will just use a different computer ... I have installed many apps not in the Microsoft store, so , TT should install ..
I may be wrong .. I have win11 pro .. and the description of S mode defies understanding.
Going through the Microsoft help just make my head spin.
And .. I must assume turbo tax will not work on my computer in the future .. I like it (10+ year user).
Not sure what i will do in the future.
@Markie007 See this thread. Some users got it to install on Windows 11 Pro
This happened to me a week or so ago. Apparently TT was working on a fix and when I went back in the next day, I was able to install it and activate it. There is another thread somewhere in this community discussion about a customer service number you might be able to call to help get it activated. I was in the same situation as you - had used TT for years and wasn’t sure what I would do. It’s very frustrating and they should have had it fixed by now instead of driving people crazy.
I cannot install TT on my windows11 either. Get a message about disable security , run in safe mode, I did my best to try, but, the same message continues to pop. I had windows 11 in 2023 with no problems. TT has changed somehow and is not helpful.
how do you get out of S ... I am just a pedestrian.
I am not sure how or what S mode is. Can you help me?
To exit S mode on Windows 11, follow these steps:
Thank you
I already have Windows 11 pro... so maybe that is the problem? I have spent several hours trying this and that.
Nothing works. Appreciate the suggestions. It just will not work .... you can close this ticket.
I am fairly tech savy .. this is beyond me.

Amazon downloads indcate turbotax does support windows 11
And having same problem here - installed TT ok, in Jan_25 - now in April it will not allow me to
Update. Teck screen share does not function. Online screen share location also unable to connect/process.
Disabled Firewall, Antivirus.
Restart, still Error code TT803 when launching TT. It allows return to be completed. Does not allow to file, due to Update requirement. Stuck in a loop . What a TT fail for this year.
Will have to find alternate provider now plus re-do my work on returns completed.
Try a Manual Update.
Here's some info on How to Switch Out of 'S' Mode for Windows 11.
Make sure you're running as Administrator, and on C drive.
