The draft was release last year. The final version came out. Other companies seemed to have used the draft.
Either way, horrid set expectations and communication by TT.
I've been advised today by management that the work on the depreciation section of TurboTax is continuing and expected to be completed with an update coming the evening of Thursday, February 19th.
Every week it gets pushed out further. I won’t be finalizing my return with TurboTax. This is ridiculous.
Ditto. This should not be taking that long, been waiting on this since end of January. Only piece remaining for my taxes... At a minimum update the pop-up with a specific target date!
It is now FEBRUARY 15 and it still says "it will be ready by February but likely before." You are lying in writing to thousands of people and it's insufferable. WHEN EXACTLY?
I don’t believe it. First they said by February 1 and then it was February 5 and then it was February 11 and then it was February 13 and then now it’s February 15? great.
this is what happens when you let 1 company control this much of this market…
incredible.. I purchased TTAX Premier in December...TTAX form 4562 timeline for release is still questionable.. that is the only area that I need to complete...Product too expensive for the inability to provide a functioning tax software. Blame it on BBB...but there should have been a pullback on the release of the product. Plus the software and verification processes are enough for me to look elsewhere next year..TTax...not good service, not dependable, and no realistic timelines are being kept.. look for a refund.. ?
It’s not a business. It’s a monopoly. They have zero incentive to provide a quality accurate product.
Why TurboTax is saying the law isn’t “final”
TurboTax 2025 software and website versions use internal modules that need to support IRS Form 4562 (the form for depreciation and amortization). Even though the IRS has released the official 2025 Form 4562 and there are tax law provisions affecting depreciation/amortization under new legislation, the TurboTax interface and calculation engine hasn’t fully implemented that form yet for all scenarios.
In user forums, Intuit employees and customers are reporting that:
The depreciation/amortization section (Form 4562) is not yet available in some TurboTax 2025 products — especially the Home & Business versions for rental property (Schedule E).
Users see messages like “Depreciation and Amortization will be ready by February, but likely sooner” even though it’s mid-February.
Support notes indicate an internal update rollout for that part of the software is coming after February 13, 2026, but timing isn’t certain.
This isn’t because the IRS hasn’t finalized the tax law — rather, the software provider hasn’t finished building the interface and logic for that part of the year’s return yet.

The lady said Feb 19 if you scroll up.
@George Gordon It's not too bad, is it? A few things could be better, but overall, not too bad. Don't you think?
This is going on way too long!
please give a date when depreciation module will be ready for Turbo tax premiere
For what it’s worth, I called In and I was able to get help doing it, there’s a glitch in the system that somehow doesn’t show it’s working. I would Call if you can!
By “call in” do you mean you did a chat with an expert? Or is there a # to call? (i don’t see one on the site). Their “expert” was only able to send me a link so that I will be notified when depreciation is working. How did they help fix the “glich”? I’ve tried 2 different browsers. Thanks for any help on this.
