When will the ampersand issue not formatting in the W-2 entry get fixed ?? How do I get refund on Turbo Tax since this has held up my ability to e-file for several weeks?
To make matters worse.. this is actual copy and paste from e-mail Intuit sent me twice about the issue. Look at the grammatical errors. "Were" instead of "We're" and "Well" instead of "Will". What is going on at Intuit? So unprofessional.
Dear TurboTax customer,
Thank you for being patient while we investigate your issue.
Were still working on a solution and well send you an email once a fix is in place.
Thank you for being a TurboTax customer.
Sincerely,
TurboTax

Did you try to remove the '&' from the employer name and enter 'and' in the place of the '&' so that you can e-file your tax return?
Everything I've read that will cause return to error out. Requires exact formatting as on W-2 which is submitted to IRS... and it's never been an issue for over 10 years.

The IRS looks at the Employer EIN to make sure it is valid. It is not going to reject a tax return because the '&' has been removed from the employer name and replaced with an 'and'.
So why are there other responses to this "&" that says the opposite? Who should a customer/tax filer believe? Fixing the issue would be the best solution for me personally.

Because other users have e-filed their tax returns with the same issue and those returns were accepted by the IRS.
If you e-file and the return is rejected you have not lost anything other than knowing that the return cannot be e-filed until TurboTax fixes the problem or you can print and mail the tax return.
See this TurboTax support FAQ for the ampersand issue - https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/download-products/help/turbotax-cd-download-w-2-box-c-not-showing-...
again.. why take chance of having maybe having to mail return at some point... and I don't know what flags may be attached after accepted by IRS.
I know you're trying to help but this should not be put on me... Do you acknowledge it's an issue that Intuit should fix? It've been able to file past returns with AT&T.
