What is the software doing? Please provide some details as to your issue. @philstorin
When I click on the 'File' icon in the top banner, I do not get a drop down menu that provides a 'Save', 'Save as' and 'Exit' choices. I only get a note that says 'Not Responding'. I have to click on the close 'X' on the top right-hand corner of the program to close it. When I do, I'm asked if I want to save the file before closing. I click 'yes' because that's the only way to close and save.

I attempted to file my state tax electronically. I filled out the form for payment. Nothing happen. Then a message came up there was a problem and I should select continue to go back to Intuit for payment. Screen was frozen. I can't close "x" or select, or move anything. Tried shutting down my computer but when I reopen, the same frozen screen appears. HELP!

I tried all the things recommended in other replies and nothing worked. I finally got through to TurboTax tech support via the support phone # on Costco CD-ROM cover. She recommended signing in as Administrator (right click on TurboTax icon) and it worked!
I am using Turbo Tax Deluxe. I made it through the income and property tax expense. Then the program froze. This is the second time I’ve input everything. The last time, I closed the program and lost everything. What do you suggest?

Check your Internet connection. Try rebooting your device, and try another browser - Chrome generally works well.
Try disabling security software, or changing the resolution of your screen.

I wrote this question 2 years ago. Maybe others have benefitted from the responses. In my case the issue was the age of my laptop. When I completely recovered the computer and took it back to it's initial settings, ran all the updates; it was able to complete my taxes using the turbo tax program. I have since bought a new computer which made a world of difference. Last year it whizzed right through them.
