What exactly is mailed

Nothing is mailed to you by Turbotax.

1) IF you choose to file by mail, then YOU have to print out the forms from the tax program, and mail them in yourself at the post office (IRS forms, and state forms go to different places).

2)  If, during the filing process, you choose to have any refund mailed to you, and not direct-deposited, then the IRS (and state) will mail a check to you once they are done processing your tax returns.

#1 and #2 above will be separate selections you make during the filing process.

What exactly is mailed

I think the question posed was, "what exactly is mailed?"  This likely is asking what a person has to mail to the IRS.  I don't know the answer, but I am learning it may be more than your answer under 1) "print out hte forms from the tax program, and mail them...".

1.) mail the tax return forms

2.) mail w-2s

3.) mail 1099s

4.) others?
