How do I stop TurboTax from updating states that I no longer use? I no longer need to download or update California.

We've griped at TTX about that for a couple years now

....no success in getting them to stop downloading states you don't need.

Might be marketing...hoping you'll accidentally select and pay for a state you don't need in this universe.

I hear TaxAct, H&R Block and TaxSlayer all have an answer for this.

I was hoping for something better by now. I am to the point that I will probably go to a competitive product. Its a total time waster.
