I received a notification in TurboTax that a W-2 is ready to be imported from an employer I’ve never worked for. Should I be alarmed?

You should import the W-2 and see what it is.

• It may be a new name, and you may have worked there.
• Or at a minimum you will be able to contact them.

I can’t import if I’ve already filed, correct? It’s a hair salon, I have never worked for a hair salon.

You're correct that you cannot import after you've filed.  

• The greater question is why are you getting a W-2?
• Do you have enough information to contact the Hair Salon?
• If so, I'd give them a call to see what is going on.
• If it is a W-2, the IRS will have a copy, and be expecting it to be on your tax return.
• It would be best to resolve it now.
