Unable to import data from Charles Schwab

Browser permission granted in Edge. Still can't import. The application says down load successful but then says import was unsuccessful. Says don't worry we will help you enter data manually - really?

Unable to import data from Charles Schwab

I'm having the exact same issue.  The import from Charles Schwab seems to go fine.  The CS site says SUCCESS you can now return to Turbo Tax, but when I do, TTAX says the import was unsuccessful.  How do I make this work?  There are many accounts and transactions.  Doing it manually is not an option.

Unable to import data from Charles Schwab

I've tried both Chrome and Edge Browsers.  I've checked that Local Network Access is allowed in settings, I've added Charles Schwab to my network settings,  I've done all the TTax upgrades and it's still not working.  C'mon Intuit.  Get this fixed or send us instructions on how to fix it.

Unable to import data from Charles Schwab

update.  Never heard from Intuit or Turbo Tax, but did hear from Charles Schwab saying downloads won't be enabled until Feb 27th

Unable to import data from Charles Schwab

If you received a "Success" message but your data hasn't appeared in TurboTax, it is likely due to recent browser security updates regarding Local Network Access.

To fix this you need to allow TurboTax to securely retrieve your data through your browser settings:

  1. Locate the View Site Information icon (the "tune" or "lock" icon) on the far left of your address bar, just before the URL.
  2. Find Local Network Access in the dropdown menu.
  3. Toggle the switch to ON.
  4. Refresh the page and attempt your import again.

If permissions aren't the issue, one of the following factors may be at play:

  • Brokerage Delays: While most forms arrive by January 31, many brokerages delay Consolidated 1099s (like the 1099-B) until mid-February due to complex reporting requirements.
  • Availability: Your brokerage must specifically "release" the import file to TurboTax. If it isn’t ready, we recommend checking back.
  • Connection Blocks: Active VPNs or aggressive Anti-Virus software can occasionally block the import feature between your bank and TurboTax. Try disabling them temporarily or switching to a different browser.

Unable to import data from Charles Schwab

I've noticed in past years, and again this year, that there is a delay between when Schwab posts the tax forms and when they are actually available for import into Turbo tax.
Today Schwab posted my missing 2 1099s, which is great, unfortunately they will not import into TurboTax because, apparently, the digital version of these 1099s is not yet available to download into TT.
This happened last year also.  I can't recall what the lag time was for the importable data to go live but eventually it showed up.
