Using CD version of Turbotax Deluxe for 2020. The amended state return (Iowa) does not show in the list of forms to print out. How can I get a fix for this?
I had a $4 penalty for Underpayment of Estimated tax. This was not identified as an e-file problem until AFTER the $25 e-file was charged. How do I get my $25 back? I was instructed to file by mail.

I don't know how an underpayment of estimated taxes penalty would prevent efiling, but I'm also not familiar specifically with Minnesota. An underpayment penalty is a common occurrence on a lot of returns, at least on a Federal return. Was it your state return that had the underpayment penalty? Even so, I don't know why the state efile would fail unless it's something peculiar. The forms list shows that the Minnesota Schedule M15, Underpayment of Estimated Taxes, can be efiled, so that's perplexing.
In any case, here's how to phone TurboTax Support. Perhaps they can help you efile or ask them to refund your state efile fee.

Hello,
I used the free edition of turbotax online to file. I entered both stimulus checks I received in 2020. Turbo tax put one of the stimulus checks I received ($600) on line 30 as a recovery rebate credit. My total refund on line 35a was supposed to be $1537. However, the IRS deducted the $600 from my refund and I only received $937. I received a notice from the IRS stating that I wasn't owed a credit so they deducted it from my refund. I never entered a credit because I received both checks.
I answered all of the turbotax questions correctly regarding both stimulus checks I received in 2020. I believe turbotax software made an error. I am owed $600

I needed to pay estimated taxes and roll over excess estimated payments which were due 4/15. Frankly I GAVE UP ON YOUR FIXING THE PROBLEMS AND BROUGHT OVER THE NUMBERS BY HAND TO A PRINTED COPY.
USED TURBO TAX FOR OVER 15 YEARS AND QUESTION WHETHER I WILL USE IT AGAIN.
The Schedule A form, Line 2b will not accept the date of 01/01/2020 as the initiation date as it states: that will incur a 366 days of the period that may overlap the tax period. Thus, the software goes into a do loop as it keeps asking the same question even if the date is changed and will not allow an electronic filing.
I can not complete my filing without this correction. What should I do?

please reconfirm the form. there is no line 2b on Schedule A (itemized deductions)
can I chnage my mind after I selected the Standard Deduction and try itemizing?
I found a calculation error in my 2019 turbotax calculation. When I filed july 15 2020 my 2019 tax return the program used my itemized deductions ok 51 k
Found out just recently when I went to amend that original return that the deuction max was suppose to be 27k due SALT restrictions. I have a pdf file showing the error line 9 .
Resulted in a significant change in my tatxes to the tune of 8k plus 800 dollars interest.

I have no desire to give you my returns. But there is a bug in the West Virginia 2020 tax program. I imported my 2019 return filed created by 2019 TurboTax Home&Biz into 2020 TurboTax Home&Biz. The 2019 returns were correct, not in 2020. I have investment income. In 2019 I received a K-1, but not in 2020. A few years ago I inherited mineral rights to an oil well in WV. Annually I receive a 1099-MISC with royalties in box 2. I also have drilling costs and taxes on the well. Fed tax allows 15% depletion on royalties. Schedule E line 4 is royalties, line 16 taxes, line 18 depletion, line 19 "drilling expenses", and line 22 is the amount taxed (royalties minus the other three). In 2020 WV return, Schedule M, line 53 depletion is added back as "subject to [WV] state tax"! In addition line 25 of WV Schedule A contains the depletion amount and attributed to a K-1 from my 2019 return. The K-1 is from a totally different, unrelated company, in a different state, and not the one drilling. I was able to remove the error in the printed returns, but I am not certain what I did.
With the help of Bonnie, the [Turbo]Tax Expert I talked to, she found me the the link to the WV tax code <https://www.wvlegislature.gov/wvcode/Code.cfm?chap=11&art=13A>. Look at West Virginia Code §11-13A-2(c)(4): "Economic interest". It says depletion IS allowed for WV income tax. I was able to get the WV Tax Information and Assistance line at [phone number removed]. The representative said the same thing, I can take the depletion in WV tax.
When looking for numbers in pdf returns, federal has commas in numbers, WV does not.
After completing the income section on my 2020 taxes the "picture of 2020 income" shows pension income of $5,883,000.00 It should be $214,972.00. I have checked and double check my entries. Also the federal tax block at the top shows tax due of 2,078,983.00. I have not completed beyond "picture of 2020 income"
You should review every income entry on the return. If that does not reveal the problem then you need a live or offline review of the actual return so that someone can actually review each item.

I have premier for mac download. worked until today 4/23/21 when opening program, screen says updates needed. Can't skip updates and when option to update is taken it just freezes and update never completes. can't bypass update or open tax file.

Have you tried restarting your computer?
Can you get past the update and open the tax file if you first disconnect from the Internet?
I don't use a Mac, so I'll also ask Champ @ macuser_22 to post here with any suggestions.
