After my taxes were completed and ready for review, I reviewed the return and proceeded to checkout.
At checkout, the order summary showed a total of $183, broken down as follows:
TurboTax Online Expert Full Service 2025 (2025 federal filing): $119
TurboTax Online State 2025 (2025 state filing): $64
I then entered my billing information and authorized payment for $183. However, the order confirmation reflected a charge of $619.44, and my payment was processed for that amount.
The post-payment breakdown shows:
TurboTax Online Expert Full Service 2025 (2025 federal filing): $519
TurboTax Online State 2025 (2025 state filing): $64
Subtotal: $583
Total with taxes and fees: $619.44
At no point prior to authorizing payment was I informed that the amount due was $583 (plus taxes and fees). Had I known the total cost to file would be $619.44, I would not have used TurboTax’s services.

No one in the user forum can resolve a billing issue. If you have a question about your TurboTax fees or billing, make sure you use the word “billing” in your request for help. Do not use the word “refund.”
