How do I over ride this key chain password, did not set this up
Please see the workaround in this thread for assistance.
@Anilyn Ablola
This worked for me even without a restart 👍
Thank you very much. Unfortunately when I try to save in the keychain, the same message pops up. I'm frustrated and concerned bc I can's save my work.
thx again
The keychain password box shows up when I try to get my financial account (Schwab) to download automatically. Of course mine once I hit the button just goes into a constant swirl,. I have not tried the options given here but will. Yes TT has gone downhill and makes taxes even harder. When I tried to download my schwab stuff in different way it automatically takes me to turbo tax online. I am doing mine on my computer from a code since I bought the TT from Costco. It is frustrating and I hate to go to an actual tax preparer and pay hundreds for it to be done.
thanks....
Mah5,
When it asks for the keychain password, what it's apparently asking for is your login password. Type that in and click on the Always Allow button and the dialog box should go away forever.
What was the workaround?
You may review this thread for a possible workaround @gregdoyle.
It does work by keying computer password.
TurboTax sucks in creating the problem. Wasting 3 hours in trying to find a solution.
may be time to move on to other program
I’m a procrastinator trying to file my tax at last minutes
it appears that TurboTax is indifferent to the problem …
Turbotax 2023 is asking for me to enter my "login" keychain password. Where would I find that if I do not have it?
The TurboTax Help article How do I access my password protected TurboTax Desktop file if I forgot the password? will provide you useful guidance.
JohnW152's reply to toni5239 has nothing to do with toni5239's problem. The problem is the request by TurboTax for the keychain password.
The keychain password is the user's login password: the same password used to login to the operating system.
