It may help to forcefully uninstall then reinstall the program. Please follow the instructions here to do so.

@CarissaMI received the 2803 error as well but after I closed the error window the installer appeared to refresh/restart and then complete without any further errors.  After restarting windows 10 as prompted by the installer, I started TurboTax 2021 and installed the prompted application updates.  TurboTax 2021 seems to be running fine.  Can I assume the installation is "good."

My experience was similar to @ksunberg.

• Installer popped error 2803
• Closed the error pop up
• The install continued and was successful
• Started Turbotax
• Updater ran successfully
• Clicked the button to continue.  Pop up said Turbotax was restarting but it didn't
• Started Turbotax from the start menu
• Activated Turbotax

All seems to be working.

I called tech support on this and they said not to worry if the error went away. So currently:

1) I'm not concerned but I still fear that a problem might pop up later,

and

2) that I knew what the error was.

FYI:  I get the same error message. The program eventually installs but I all future upgrades fail to install.  I have to de-install then re-install the latest update.  Hoping intuit can provide a fix.

I can reproduce this issue.  I've already tried de-installing and re-installing several times.  this is how it looks in eventvwr
