I have started my tax return on my new computer, but since then I was able to find the power cord to my old computer, and thus can copy my info over if that's possible.

Yes, you can transfer the tax file over.
Please see the link below for instructions to save your .tax file so you can transfer it back to your computer.
Actually, Yes, If you load the software and allow the system to update. You should be able to move your file to the (Old) new system. The file name will have a .tax2020 extension at the end. You will need to discover it like you do at the beginning of the process, but it will be available in the window to use.
What do you want to do? Move your 2020 return to the old computer? Or transfer from a 2019 return on the old computer?
Do you want to move your prior return to the new computer?
On the o,d computer..........What I would do is just copy the whole Turbo Tax folder that is under your Documents. That should be where the .tax files and pdf files are stored. Copy that folder to a flash drive or best yet is to burn it to a CD or DVD and then you will have a backup of them. Then on the new computer copy the folder (or files) from the flash drive to your Documents folder.
The programs need to be installed from the CD or download them again. You don't need to install them unless you need to amend or open a return.
