transfer 2019 return info to 2020

The only way to transfer is to start over with a new blank return. But a  pdf only transfers your name and basic personal info and the AGI.  And you might not be able to transfer from a Turbo Tax pdf.  You only saved the pdf?  You didn't make a backup of the .tax2019 file?

What happens if I already transferred 2019 tax return to 2020 Turbo Tax, but had to go back and make some changes to 2019 tax return.  How do I transfer the changes to 2020.  It will not let me.

You can only transfer into a new blank return so you would have to start 2020 completely over.  

If you already started an online return you will have to clear it and start over to transfer again.  How to clear and start over

For the Desktop program, to transfer again you have to start a new return, go up to File-New.

It would probably be easier to manually change any 2019 information that was transferred, instead of starting your 2020 tax return over from scratch.
