the second half of property tax missing from 1098

last year we refinanced our rental property, when we got 1098 from  the new lender,  we noticed no property tax shown on the form. We called the local treasury office to confirmed both half of the property tax were paid, we check our closing statement , it showed it was paid, and last we checked with our lender, he told us they didn't pay it because it's settlement company who paid it. So where can I report this half of the property tax?

When you enter your expenses for your rental property in TurboTax, you will see a category called Real Estate Taxes, that is where you enter your property taxes paid during the year. It doesn't matter that it is not reported on the form 1098 your received, the taxes are still deductible in the year billed if you paid them that year.
