Submitted return electronically May 7 and IRS rejected. Tried several times but always denied. How to reset pin so future filings aren’t rejected?

No. The IRS no longer issues filing pins. Now they only use the prior years AGI. However, if you were issued a filing pin prior to 2019 then it is grandfathered in if you remember it.
The filing pin should not be confused with the IP PIN which is different and for identity protection - that is issued each year by the IRS in a letter sent to you if you have applied for an IP PIN but that is in addition to the AGI and/or filing pin.
It still asks for a pin when you file but that is self selected and takes the place of a signature.

When you file you are asked for the prior year AGI from the originally filed return OR the self selected PIN from the prior year return. One must match for the efile to be accepted.
If your return was filed late last year then use a single zero for the AGI or if you used the non filer portal last year then your AGI is $1.

If your 2020 return was REJECTED and you mailed it,
you have to hope the IRS gets the AGI you filed into its database in a timely fashion.
Make a note of it
You will need it to successfully e-File a 2021 tax return.
