On top of that, the reps don't seem to be engaged at all. They keep asking for information that was already provided by numerous users previously. Are they even reading the post? If not, how are they supposed to help us solve the problem?
Moreover, it just got me wondering how hard it really is to provide a true ETA of the fix? So many people have been asking about the timeline and not a single rep had the answer. Leaving your paid customers hanging like this isn't how I expect a big company like Intuit to handle production incidents.
I am very disappointed too, this if my first time using turbotax, and this will also be the last if this is not fixed quickly
having another error

I've filed similar returns the last three years with Turbo Tax and haven't had any problems until this year. I did notice that the past three years there was no Schedule CA and there were no problems e-filing those years. With my return there is no Schedule CA required, however, Turbo Tax this year won't allow me to e-file without one.
@wangruinjuTurbo Tax seems to be having a terrible time with Schedule CA. Some of us have been posting about the same error you just mentioned here: My California e-file is rejected
Do you have an entry in Part B line 8z of your Schedule CA? I do, but Turbo Tax is leaving the description of that income blank. I'm wondering if that's an automatic flag by the CA tax system that results in this particular error.
This does sound like a possible scenario. I do have an entry in section B line 8z of my Schedule CA, and I did enter the description in Turboxtax when I was filing, but it was omitted on the form though. Looks like a bug in the code to me. Did you figure out a way to solve this problem?

Federal accepted but CA rejected with error SCHCA/NR-043 originally, then thought I should go and manually input the federal other reportable income into the california- other adjustments to income and that lead to another rejection message:
Hi. I also have an entry in 8z. TurboTax did not leave the description blank for me, but I am still getting this error, so I suspect it is something else (you can manually add a description in the form). I have a negative number for the "Federal Amounts" entry of 8z, and I wondered if that could be the culprit.
@matina2022Thanks for posting this! I just went back in and I'm now getting the message that the 3/31 update with solve the problem. Here's hoping!
@29Ar3d10That's really interesting. Who knows what it could be then. Also, how did you get the description to show up in your final return?? No matter how many times I make sure I have the correct description in the editable forms, when I save a pdf of the actual return for my records (during the final steps before filing), the description on line 8z remains blank. If you save the pdf for your records, is the description still there?
Our amount is also negative...but it was also negative last year and we had no problems, so...? Who knows. Hopefully the 3/31 update really fixes this, whatever it is. At least it really does seem to be a problem with the software (and not us!).
@nscott82 Yes the description appears in the printed form.
@29Ar3d10Well this just gets stranger and stranger. What version are you using? We've got Home and Business.
@nscott82 I'm using the deluxe version of the desktop product.
@29Ar3d10That's so strange. I guess it must be a difference between editions, and my theory's shot. Oh well. It will be interesting to compare my current saved return with what Turbo Tax produces after the 3/31 update. Here's hoping.
