Solar tax credit - Federal refund delay

I have submitted my taxes by Feb 2024. It has solar credit. I haven't received my refund yet. Checked in IRS website. It shows status as ' return received' . No update for more than 2 months. Please advice

Once your return is filed, TurboTax has no control over the processing of your return or the release of your refund. You will need to contact the IRS for information. It might be easiest to set up an account with them. I have included information on that below.

This answer is available already in online references. I was not expecting turbo tax to get my refund too. Also I have mentioned in my post that, I have already checked in IRS website about such details.

What I was expecting is, to provide me info possible delay reasons for solar tax credit scenarios and possible actions from my side to get clarifications from IRS. I am sure you are aware that IRS wont pick up calls. In such situations, as experts in this field, I was really expecting you to guide me through this. Instead what I got is; online document links. 

As a member who is with turbo tax for about 10 years, I was expecting a bit more proper guidance.

We have no information about any delays and if a taxpayer is delayed it may not be the same delay as another taxpayer. We do not have access to your information or information pertaining to the processing or delay of your return.

Unfortunately only the IRS can provide you with guidance or clarification. This is why I suggested setting up an account with them. You may be able to find out more information by doing this.

There have been several of us that have the claimed our solar installations and wet are all on the same boat. I submitted .y eke tonic return on 2/10/24 and its has been in "received" status since. I've called the IRS three times and was given no reasoning or ETA. This last call I was told that there were going to open and error/resolutions ticket. I now have to wait 30 days for a response and if not i was instructed to call again. This is very frustrating and its seems as though we are never gonna get our refunds. On a positive note I was told that they will have to pay interest on our refunds after 45 days.

@JovieP  For what it’s worth, I was told another 30 days on April 22nd but I received notification on Thursday that my refund will be here this week:)

Nice! I am still stuck in received in the refund tracker. I hope I hear something soon

@JovieP check your online tax transcript - mine was updated days before where’s my refund was updated!

Still delayed here. Received in February but haven't seen any movement since then.

UPDATE:

I have gone with an option of local tax office appointment (have seen that through my IRS account - the one logged in through ID.me). During the call for making the appointment, I have explained the details to the customer service rep and she was able to look through my details. She informed me that 'looks there is some error in processing" !!!. And as this is already passed the 10 weeks window, she can put me through some process called "referral". And advised that it could take another 30- 60 days to get the refund. When I checked today (05/07) under "where is my refund" link, I see the refund approved status! Hoping it'll be credited soon
