Just tried resetting my Third Part Access for TurboTax and it still did not fix the issue. Since December, when Schwab decided to redo their Quicken Interface I've had nothing but trouble.
Both Quicken and Schwab have millions of customers who use both of them. Let's get it working folks!
I just had to try multiple times over and over and it finally worked.
Once I turned OFF third party access in my Schwab account I got everything to work perfectly. Still trying to figure that one out.
Have tried all day I keep getting "Something unexpected happened and we cant connect to Charles..." Try again in a few hours (590) Tried multiple logins tired with Third-Party off and then on and no luck!
I wish I had known about this issue before I bought TT. I am going to ask ie demand a refund of the TT purchase price.
Regarding the issue of importing your Charles Schwab 1099, have you tried using our FAQ on How can I fix my 1099 import issue?
Katina, the software does not work right now due to an issue with the interface with Schwab, per the 5 pages of individual reports on this thread. Linking to an existing FAQ will not address this.
Katina, your should research this problem and let us know the problem is and what your firm is doing about it. A status on when this will work would save a lot of people their time. Referencing your company's FAQ shows you haven't read the other posts in this thread.
As soon as I try to "Get Forms" it opens another window and sometimes it's blank and sometimes it gives me a login to Schwab but I can't enter in any text for username or password.
Same issue, I have been trying for 3 days, it still fails. Lastest today 21 Feb. For the past 2 years, TurboTax over promises and under delivers.
Sorry to hear! I have tried off and on maybe twenty times over the weekend since Friday evening to get through to Schwab and finally was successful at 7:30 AM Monday . Very frustrating.
Just spoke to support as well. They said it is a known issue and they have no estimated date of a fix. I had a post on this yesterday as well and some people said they were finally able to get in, others said still not working. Just curious if those of us still not working are on a Mac OS, or is not working on all platforms.
I was able to get on, but had to complete a lot of legal type statements basically agreeing to not hold Schwab liable for any data breaches.
My problem is with Wells Fargo Advisors. My question is why does TurboTax want all the transactions in my brokerage accounts and not just the summaries??
Had all the same problems as others (MacOS, Monterey), and even switched browsers (from Safari to Firefox). However, turning off 2-factor authentication on the Schwab side worked (even with Safari as the default browser). Maybe I just got lucky!
After trying for the past 24 hours and looking through different threads. The following worked right away after getting multiple login failures yesterday and today.
1) Go to your Schwab account disable third party access.
2) Save the settings
3) Enable third party access
4) Save the settings
5) Relaunch the TT login window to Schwab
6) Type in your credentials as requested
7) It should bring up a accept terms screen
This worked right away for two different Schwab login id's after multiple failures all day yesterday and right up until the time I tried the steps above.
Good luck.
