I submitted W2 and 1099-NEC forms yesterday, Jan 31st. It is still stuck in "processing". Is there some technical issues intuit is experiencing? I use the website every year and usually it changes status to submitted pretty quickly, with a few minutes. I am worried that it will not me marked as "filed timely" now

Transmission of 1099-NEC forms were scheduled for 2/2, this is by design and is not late - you can rest assured @money4irs.
The IRS is extremely behind schedule this year. This processing delay has apparently extended to employment forms this year.
Just like every year once your returns are accepted TurboTax will send you an email.
Here is the taxpayer advocates report from this year.
Yes, also got emails just now that they were submitted. It says "The following 1099-NEC forms were electronically submitted to the IRS on Feb 02, 2022"
I submitted the forms on Jan 31
Today is Feb 1
What I quoted says submitted Feb 2 (in future)
Am I toast? Is IRS going to say Gotcha? Fines / penalties / all the good stuff from IRS's point of view?
So that we can better assist you, would you mind providing a screenshot of the email you received? Please be sure to black out any personal information before posting the screenshot as Community is a public forum.

Does this include my Emplyee’s W-2 forms being “ stuck” in “EFILE PROCESSING”?
