Please bring back the running total refund/tax due at the top of the screen

I am struggling to get my taxes section back on.. after reviewing multiple posts I see so many of them have this option.

I have cleared my cache and also used 2 different browser so please suggest something else.

Agree with this sentiment - the running total refund/tax is tremendously helpful and the value of using turbo tax diminishes significantly without it.  I looked for the solution 'Explain my taxes' and don't see that link on my version.  Is this only on the premium full service subscription?

This is so very annoying - agree with all comments about how frustrating it is to not have the running tax/refund progress visible.

THIS! Exactly.  Turbotax loyalist for almost 3 decades.  Please return the running refund/tax bar for all users. Or debug for chrome and safari for apple users.

I didn't have this problem in 2024 (tax year 2023), but am having it now in 2025. My assumption is there was an A/B test (google it) in 2024, so only some users were seeing the UI change. Now in 2025, it was either rolled out to everyone or there is more A/B testing.

If TT product management feels the monitor bar is too complicated for most people, then make it off by default and add an advanced setting option for intellectual users to enable it, rather than just removing it for everyone. As many others have stated, this is a significant regression in TT functionality that will prompt advanced users to leave the platform if not addressed.

You just have to enter your income and deductions and then run Review and the monitor will be back.  It caused confusion for many users and many phone calls from people who were convinced that TurboTax was stealing their refund as they saw the figure go down when they entered more income.

@taxlady28  You are providing opinion and it's not helpful. You are not the product management team at TT. Several of us have already made suggestions of how they need to handle this.

@xmasbaby0 We're aware the change was made. This thread is about disagreeing with the change. We view it as a regression. The product management team should reevaluate.

Came on to echo this sentiment. Hate that this feature is gone! I'm willing to switch programs to one that has this feature.  I hope Turbo Tax will bring this back.

Where am I missing this?  I don't have a Explain my taxes along the Green Progress Line? 

This was a great feature that I could see what really hurts and how things like IRA help my refund!  Disappointed.
