Hi,
I'm using TT Home and Business on a mac desktop. I am having trouble importing last year's information. I select the file but when I click through it shows empty fields. I start a new return and try to import from pdf, but it is limited and I would still need to enter things in manually. Also, it doesn't seem to show 2024's info. Please remedy this ASAP.

You do not "import" last year's tax file. You transfer the 2024 tax file to the new 2025 return, and you do not use a pdf. You transfer the tax file, at the very beginning before you enter any new 2025 information.
How to transfer last year’s return?
And what transfers in from the initial 2024 tax file, does come in with a bunch of empty forms.
Certain $$ details are retained in the Carryover worksheet, but things like W-2, of 1099-INT, -DIV forms only have the issuer, recipient and the blank $$ fields for you to fill in with the 2025 values.
How to Transfer into the Mac Desktop program

Did you use the Desktop program for 2024 too? Here's an idea. Do you still have 2024 installed? Try opening 2024 program and see if you can get your 2024 return to show up in it. Go to FILE - OPEN. And see if that is the right one.
In the 2024 program do a File-Save AS or Duplicate and give it a easy name you can find or search for. And note where it saves it or select where to save it so you can find it again. The file will end in .tax2024. Then close the 2024 program. Then start a new 2025 return and transfer from the 2024 file.
Sorry for my incorrect lingo!
I only selected the pdf when the original .tax file didn't transfer. After the program said it successfully transferred the information, I would click through and then it didn't show anything. All the fields were blank. I tried multiple times.
What finally seems to have worked is I chose to select a file from my computer, instead of the .tax file that automatically showed up to select.
Thanks everyone for all the suggestions!
