I ended up with a big penalty for not paying my estimated taxes on time. This was totally the fault of TurboTax. I earned most of my income in the last quarter and therefore paid most of my estimated tax at that time. TurboTax ask nothing about the distribution of your income over the year, as a result, New Jersey thought the income was distributed equally through the year and I should’ve paid higher estimated taxes during each quarter. It’s my fault that I missed this when I reviewed the form however TurboTax should’ve asked about this but didn’t
