This is a response to the generic email I received today that if I was answered in regard to my question:
The middle initial is immaterial for everything you mentioned ... you are worrying about nothing. The IRS looks at the first 4 letters of the last name, SS# & year of birth ... everything else can be dead wrong.

Thank you for the information!

The middle initial doesn't play a significant role in any of the matters you've mentioned. Your concerns in this regard are unnecessary. The IRS primarily focuses on the first four letters of the last name, the Social Security number, and the year of birth. Other details can be inaccurate without significant consequences.
Thank you for your confirmation.
I went ahead and processed the rollover, and it is done with both first and last name- I was able to request a name correction with the institution and although I understand and agree with your insight (and the last contributor) the request, which was processed before the rollover process assured a better transition to the Rlvr IRA.
Much appreciated. M_
