My home page says I filed my taxes and it also says that they are ready to be mailed. Does that mean I have to mail them in? If so, where?

Do you think you efiled your taxes? You can verify whether you efiled or not here: https://shop.turbotax.intuit.com/efile/efile_status_lookup.jsp

If you efiled and it was accepted, you don't need to do anything. If you can't efile or just chose to print and mail, you must actually print and mail the tax return yourself. TurboTax does not mail it for you.

Ready to Mail means you have to actually print out your tax return and mail it to the IRS yourself. So it has not been filed yet. And it will always say Ready to Mail. Turbo Tax doesn’t know if or when you mailed it and the IRS doesn’t update Turbo Tax when they get your mailed return.

How to print and mail your return,

OR You can try to switch to efile

When you mail a tax return, you need to attach any documents showing tax withheld, such as your W-2’s or any 1099’s. Use a mailing service that will track it, such as UPS or certified mail so you will know the IRS received the return. Don’t forget state.

Important! Mail Federal and State in separate envelopes and mail each year in separate envelopes.
