Mac OS Big Sur - When will Turbotax run under this OS?

I had a download problem last year.....will it work with mac big sur?  I need to know for sure BEFORE I pay

I am trying to find out if it downloads and opens before I pay....how can I do that?

@bevanrj TurboTax Mac software is compatible with macOS Mojave 10.14 or later, this includes Big Sur.

While it is true that TurboTax Mac software is compatible with macOS Mojave 10.14 or later, including Big Sur, @bevanrj and others should be aware that the initial download of TT20, first posted in the fall of 2020, was NOT compatible with Big Sur, and it took until after New Year's for TT to fix that. So anyone who paid for and downloaded their copy of TT20 in the fall has had to delete it and all associated files from their system, and then download the latest update of TT20. Some people are still having issues after that, but many of us are now doing fine. 

For you, @bevanrj , since you are just purchasing and downloading now, you should be fine.

That's a whole lotta work Mike, and obviously requires some skills.   Instead, I've copied what I posted a month ago, which is what I did to obtain an updated ver of the sw I purchased at costco:

call them back and ask them to push a more updated version to you.    They do this routinely.  

I learned about this a couple of years ago when I bought T-Tax but then my powerbook crashed, so I purchased a new mac.   Called the 800 number, and they set me up with a new license (by adding it t my account) so I could download T-Tax to my new computer without paying a new fee.

@BigDog it is a lot of work. However, if one has PREVIOUSLY installed a version of TT20 from last fall, if you now try to install a new version, well, I don't know how to explain this in TECHnical terms, but it won't work. That's why, if you have PREVIOUSLY installed a version of TT20 from last fall, you have to delete that program, and all the associated files, before you can successfully install a new version of TT20. Unless, that is, the Software Gods have done something to make that step no longer necessary. That would be great, but as of yet, I have not gotten word that that is the case. 

Once you have deleted your pre-2021 version of TT20, and all the associated files, all you need to do is download TT20 from your downloads page, just like before. It has already been updated, and is just sitting there waiting for you.

maybe I got lucky since I just dragged the fall release icon to the Trash Can to uninstall it, deleted Fall version from Download folder (right click, Delete), and then installed the newer version.  Works great.

YOU KNOW I HAVE WASTED 4 DAYS  TRYING TO MAKE THIS WORK WITHOUT MUCH SUPPORT--TT BLAMES APPLE AND VICE VERSA-- IF I HAD STARTED RE-ENTERING ALL INFO BY HAND IN A DIFFERENT PROGRAM I COULD HAVE FILED BY NOW. IT IS CONVENIENT TO LET THE COMPUTER DO THE BUSY WORK-BUT NOT AT THIS COST. I HAVE BEEN A CUSTOMER SINCE THE EARLY 2000s  BUT I AM GOING TO USE BLOCK OR ANOTHER SOFTWARE PROGRAM AND STAY WITH THEM UNTIL THEY MESS UP ROYALLY AS INTUIT HAS DONE.  BET I HAVE TO FIGHT TO GET A REFUND FOR THIS CLEARLY DEFECTIVE PRODUCT.
