Line 35a of Form 7203 states "only negative values, which I have inputted, but, turbotax is giving me a message that it cannot be a negative number??

If line 35a of form 7203 states only negative values, and I entered a negative number, why is turbotax telling me a negative number cannot be entered there?

Form 7203 can be confusing. Although the instructions say to enter only negative values, there are no negative numbers anywhere on the form. If it says the values are negative, then the calculations assume your entry should be included as a negative value. But you enter every number as positive.
